Welcome to SchoolGuard. Schoolguard was originally created as part of a United States Department of Education grant project. The site is now owned and admnistered by the Global Community College, a 501 c 3 non-profit corporation.
The goal of this site is to provide K-12 schools with critical information about school and home emergency preparedness. Schoolguard provides both online and onsite emergency preparedness resources for school communities. School emergency management focuses on multi-hazard prevention and mitigation, preparedness and planning, response to citical incidents and recovery from crisis and emergencies. Schoolguard is also designed to help schools comply with state and federal mandates and FEMA best practices through links to critical resources, online resources and onsite support services for K-12 schools. for emergencies.
Schoolguard K-12 training staff are available for school onsite audits and consultation provided by the Global Community College, Inc. (GCC) at discounted non-profit rates . GCC staff have been instrumental in helping schools receive significant training grants totaling in excess of $2,000,000.00 from federal, state and private foundations to help schools prepare for inevitable natural, technological and human caused events such as terrorist and shooters-on-campus events.

Schoolguard.org provides important information and links to valuable online resources provided by such strategic partners as Red Cross, Federal Emergency Management Agency and Institute and the Global Community College.
